One of our trips within Australia this year was the Bowral trip for the Gear group within our Club.
Despite beginning in poor weather from Sydney airport where 2 LBOYB vans and drivers collected the ladies who’d flown up from Melbourne for the 9 days of cycling. We began the cycling from just north of the famous Sea cliff bridge on the coast below Sydney. We rode from here over the next 9 days through to Bowral and the southern highlands, culminating in cycling the 90km Bowral Classic on Sunday October 21st. This included some stays in delightful places such as Kiama, with a house right on the beach…to Robertson, staying in what must be the Ireland of Australia, with GREEN, GREEN, rolling hills, horse studs and wealthy gentry sipping coffee at one of the numerous groovy cafe’s with their partner and pooch in the sunshine! Moving onto Bundanoon, Moss Vale and Bowral….Oh what glorious places we have in Australia! And what great places to ride!
