Cycling the East Coast of Tasmania

The annual Ladies Back On Your Bike, East Coast of Tasmania trip was slightly tweaked from the previous year, to include an overnight stay on Bruny Island. This was a great change, as it allowed more time on this glorious, island on the south west of Tasmania. The entire trip was a 350 km cycle down the East Coast of Tasmania. The trip is designed and undertaken solely by LBOYB.

The attached photos include snippets of the 7 day trip, beginning when the 7 ladies were collected from the Launceston Airport on March 19th 2017.  to greet their bikes, that had journeyed over on the LBOYB trailer and van aboard the Spirit of Tasmania the night prior.

From then on, the smiles, laughter, physical effort, eating and drinking and camaraderie all culminated in another fabulous, safe and fun trip for the ladies and Ladies Back On Your Bike.

Another tweak to previous trips to Tasmania, was the ladies packing their bikes into boxes on the last evening, so as to fly back to Melbourne with them. This was because another group of Ladies was to arrive in a couple of days and cycle from Hobart to Launceston, via a south. middle and north route. This trip is discussed in another News item on the Home page
